Choosing for Iceland

Many popular catalogue plants struggle outdoors through an Icelandic winter. We label indoor, sheltered, and fully outdoor candidates clearly. If you want a tropical look for summer only, we will help you plan a container that moves under glass when nights turn cold.

Bare-root and potted

Most retail plants leave Meadowrift in pots so roots stay protected until planting. During early spring we may offer limited bare-root perennials for experienced gardeners who can plant promptly. Ask staff which format suits your timeline.

Sample names on the bench

Recent floor favourites have included hostas such as soft-edged green varieties, daylilies with warm yellow crowns, and iris cultivars with white or pale standards. Exact names rotate — walk the aisle or write to [email protected] with your light conditions and we will suggest matches.
